LIMBS EVOLUTION KIOSK

This exhibit is called Limbs evolution. visitors can  to put their left hand on the platform and slide inward. A sensor is installed inside the box on top of the platform. After scanning, the sample X-ray image of visitor’s hand will be shown on the screen. Then, visitor can select different animal to compare the animal’s limb skeletons with visitor’s human hand limb skeleton. It is interactive and many visitors are curious about the patterns and size of the limb skeletons.

In this exhibit, visitors need to put their left hand on the platform and slide it inward. After scanning, the X-ray image of their hand will be shown on the screen. Then, they can choose one of the animal forelimb skeletons and compare human limb with different animal forelimb skeletons.

Biodiversity in the Prototype Zone

“Prototype Zone” is a small gallery showcasing the new interactive exhibits designed and produced by the Hong Kong Science Museum. Different new topics will be introduced in regular basis. In the zone, visitors can try on the new hands-on exhibits and express their views on design and performance of exhibits.
