COSTUMES AND MAKEOVERS 

By using facial detection technology, the image processing software convert the visitor’s photo taken by the kiosk to a traditional Chinese Costumes and make up style. Then the graphical drawing will merge with the graphic with different dressing pattern generated by the visitor’s clothes colour and pattern to have a highly personalised traditional Chinese style. This kiosk also allow user to email the graphic image back to visitors’ email address.

It is a photo-shooting booth aimed to let visitors create their own character with traditional dresses by taking photo. Visitors need to sit in front of the camera and then select one of the Dunhuang characters. After that, their face will be captured automatically and match to their selected character. Visitors can send their photo to themselves or friends by email. The photo will also be projected to the big screen next to the booth.

Dunhuang – Untold Tales, Untold Riches Exhibition

Nearly 120 exhibits that represent all the core aspects of Dunhuang grotto art and fully demonstrate the vast diversity of Dunhuang culture are showcased in this exhibition. It is jointly organized by the Hong Kong Heritage Museum and Dunhuang Academy and is opened from 28 November 2014 to 16 March 2015.
